Solution in auto parts for the Heavy Line

Founded in 1963 by Mr. Roni da Silva Chaves on a modest wooden house in the city of Caxias do Sul-RS, Roni Chaves started its path as a small company selling parts and accessories for Mercedes-Benz trucks.

Today, more than 60 years later, Roni Chaves operates in the distribution of automotive parts for the Heavy Line in the South of Brazil and is recognised by more than 15,000 customers as a solution in their segment.

Companies, service providers and owners of Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Volkswagen, Iveco, DAF trucks, among other brands, can count on personalised service and a portfolio of more than 60,000 items, quickly attended by seven strategic units located in the cities of Caxias do Sul-RS, Canoas-RS, Ijuí-RS, Passo Fundo-RS, Pelotas-RS, Içara-SC and Araquari-SC and a Distribution Center in the state of Espírito Santo.

Driven by the customer: It’s in the DNA

Roni Chaves’ growth path goes towards a future that unites the old and the new. Among the plans is the expansion of the current seven to ten branches in the coming years. After all, the “eye-to-eye service” has always been a strong feature of the company. “This is our DNA, personalised service, close to the customer. We are known by our clients for offering solutions, not problems”, summarises Júlio César Chaves, Managing Director and one of the three sons of Mr. Roni who manages the business today, alongside Anaise and Afonso. Remembering the constant search for product quality and assistance by customers, Júlio also recalls: “This has always been and always will be this way. It was one of our father’s premises: To be driven by our customer.”

With a solid partnership, we grow together

Since more than 20, years Roni Chaves is selling the branded products from Diesel Technic. “We have always recognised the Diesel Technic brands as a source of trust and quality”, says Júlio.

In 2016, this relationship was expanded when the company became a direct distribution partner – today it has more than 5,000 items in its portfolio that serve the main brands of trucks that run in Brazil. “We are very happy with the partnership that qualified our range of items with outstanding and recognised quality in the market in which Roni Chaves operates. Reinforcing this partnership by expanding the DT Spare Parts product mix and consequently the business volume is in the planning for the coming years. Diesel Technic’s service is a differential that reinforces and attests to this partnership”, concludes Júlio.
