The year 2023 is associated with continuing and new global political conflicts. This naturally also affects the economy, especially internationally operating companies. Despite these challenges, Diesel Technic is able to look back on a positive year and is recording growth at all Diesel Technic Group locations. The basis for success is high availability and logistical efficiency, combined with excellent customer service. To constantly optimise and further improve these parameters for success, a lot has happened again in 2023, confirmed to Diesel Technic’s company motto “keep on moving ...”.
Relocations and expansions
Diesel Technic Italia S.R.L. opened its second logistics location in the province of Caserta in March. This second site is strategically favourable, as it is easier to supply southern Italy and the islands in particular. The expansion makes it possible to prepare and dispatch deliveries even faster and more efficiently. Diesel Technic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd moved into a new and highly modern warehouse and office building in October. The move was completed within six months, thanks to the excellent co-operation on local level and the support of colleagues from the company headquarters in Germany. In Dubai, Diesel Technic (M.E.) FZE started a site expansion. The expansion creates additional storage capacity and improves intralogistics processes. On This will speed up the delivery rate for one thing. It also increases availability for local requirements.
Technical developments at Diesel Technic
The company headquarters in Germany has welcomed three new “employees” since June. These are three Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). They can move up to 500 pallets a day and provide relief for the company as the degree of automation has been increased and processes optimised. They use laser navigation and reflectors to make their way between incoming and outgoing goods. The shuttle extension was put into operation in August. This development has once again significantly increased efficiency, and orders are processed even faster.
Improve customer loyalty
Diesel Technic travelled to several exhibitions with the DT Spare Parts product brand to maintain contact with distribution partners and their customers. The company participated in Germany’s HEIL-Kfzteile km/H 2023 trade fair in June. There, DT Spare Parts impressed end customers with its extensive product range. In October, the company travelled on to Automechanika in Dubai. Distribution partners took the opportunity to visit the company directly from the exhibition centre to discuss further developments. The traditional Diesel Technic evening event during Automechanika Dubai was once again successful. Many interesting discussions were held, and networks expanded. In November, Solutrans in France was the next event. The transporter topic was particularly interesting there, attracting many customers to the trade fair stand. An active exchange took place, ultimately benefiting customers and Diesel Technic.
Parts Specialists – News from the workshop
The Parts Specialists were once again busy in front of the camera, filming various workshop videos and PS Tips. The main topics were: the components of a truck and its door, NOx sensors, propeller shafts and wiring harnesses. This time, the shorter clips dealt with operating fluids, cabin air filters and windscreens, among other things. As usual, all videos can be found on YouTube: ps-web.tv.
To give the Parts Specialists a chance to get out of their workshop, Lars and Kevin were back at the Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring this year with their own stand. Visitors could test their skills and win great prices in the “Beat Lars” table football duel.
Hot rubber – DT Spare Parts under extreme conditions
For the fourth time in a row, Sascha Lenz from SL TruckSport 30 is counting on the high product quality of the sponsored spare parts from DT Spare Parts. Sascha tested his skills on eight different tracks in eight other countries. With his outstanding performance, he could defend his third place in the general standings from last year. Sascha Lenz was also honoured as “Rider of the Season”. DT Spare Parts and the Parts Specialists are looking forward to the next season.
