There are various ways to identify products: on the basis of manufacturer reference numbers, DIN numbers and article description. The original vehicle manufacturer reference numbers provided distinguish the DT range of universal parts from general catalogues for SIN and standard parts. Although there are standard parts, e.g. screws and nuts, in countless versions, DT brand universal parts meet the specifications of the vehicle manufacturers exactly, especially in respect to dimensions, surface and material quality.
For light bulbs, too, reference numbers and search terms, such as voltage, wattage and the important socket description are specified, which simplifies product identification immensely. All DT brand universal parts are available from stock in wholesale quantities, or can be supplied at short notice.

At the moment there is a change in global standardisation. Whereas the DIN standards were formerly regarded as purely German requirement, a standard has now been established at a European and global level with the EN and ISO. The DIN is the model for both the EN and ISO, only a few standards have been newly introduced with the ISO. The transition in the trade is going smoothly; production of DIN and ISO articles is taking place side by side. The DT programme for universal parts is aligned to DIN standardisation.
