The range of DT universal parts contains articles from the following product groups:
DIN connecting components
screws, nuts, washers, cotter pins/split pins and tension pins, lock(ing) screws, lubrication nipples, angle joints, clamps and mounting kits
Accessories for compressed air
coupler heads, air springs, test connectors, nylon piping, threaded connectors, plug-in connectors, hollow-core screws and ring hose nipples
plugs, sockets, cables and fuses
headlights and lamps, light bulbs and safety lamps
brake hoses, tyre inflation hoses and fuel hoses
There are various ways to identify products: on the basis of manufacturer reference numbers, DIN numbers and article description. The original vehicle manufacturer reference numbers provided distinguish the DT range of universal parts from general catalogues for SIN and standard parts. Although there are standard parts, e.g. screws and nuts, in countless versions, DT brand universal parts meet the specifications of the vehicle manufacturers exactly, especially in respect to dimensions, surface and material quality.
For light bulbs, too, reference numbers and search terms, such as voltage, wattage and the important socket description are specified, which simplifies product identification immensely. All DT brand universal parts are available from stock in wholesale quantities, or can be supplied at short notice.
Norming is a standardisation of tangible objects. The properties of connecting elements are largely determined by the following rules:
ISO - International Norms
Publisher: International Standards Organisation
EN - European Norms
Publisher: European Standards Committee
DIN - German Norms
Publisher: Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V.
At the moment there is a change in global standardisation. Whereas the DIN standards were formerly regarded as purely German requirement, a standard has now been established at a European and global level with the EN and ISO. The DIN is the model for both the EN and ISO, only a few standards have been newly introduced with the ISO. The transition in the trade is going smoothly; production of DIN and ISO articles is taking place side by side. The DT programme for universal parts is aligned to DIN standardisation.
