Protection of your privacy is important to us! With the following information, we would therefore like to explain to you how we handle your personal data (e.g. name, address, telephone number of e-mail address) that are gathered or are created automatically during the use of our Internet offering.

This data protection declaration applies to all services offered under the domain “www.dieseltechnic.com”. Unless otherwise stated, this data protection declaration governs purely how DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG handles your personal data. In the event that you make use of services offered by third parties, then the data protection provisions of these third parties shall apply exclusively. DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG does not examine the data protection provisions of third parties.

Type and scope of the data collected
In principle you can call up our Internet offering without providing us with personal data. It is at your discretion at any time to decide whether you wish to provide us with your data. If you contact us via our Internet website (e.g. catalogue or login enquiries), place orders via the DT product information system or use other added-value services, then the input of your personal data is necessary. These data include e.g. your name, address, e-mail address and other personal data that may be requested by us in individual cases.

When you visit our Internet website, your Internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server. These data include i.a. the date and duration of your access, browser type and IP address. Furthermore, the website from which you visit us and the pages that you visit on our website are also transmitted.

During visits to our Internet website, we sometimes use cookies (small text files) that are transmitted to your computer and which your browser saves. They serve to make our offering user-friendly, effective and secure. Most of the cookies used by us are “session cookies”. They are automatically reset at the end of your visit as soon as you log out. If you terminate the session by closing your browser, the cookie remains stored for a certain time and is then either overwritten or deleted by the client. Our cookies cause no damage to your computer and contain no viruses. The storage of cookies on your computer can be prevented by corresponding settings in your Internet browser. Use of your data
We should point out that we use and process personal data collected via our Internet website only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the statutory provisions, in particular in accordance with the terms of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG). We use your personal data to structure our Internet website and our service offering according to the demand and to constantly improve our presentation.

If you have sent us a contact enquiry and transmitted your data to us in the process, we use your data for processing and handling your enquiry, insofar as this is necessary. Should you have submitted an order or enquiry via our DT product information system, we use your data as far as necessary for processing your order or enquiry.

The data and information transmitted automatically by your Internet browser are stored and used by us for statistical purposes for user analysis and user behaviour. The regular evaluation of the statistics on website access indicates the development over time of the visitor response and the differing success of our online offerings. It forms the basis i.a. for controlling the further development of the website and the planning of new or improved strategies. However, this information is stored only in anonymous form and separately from the data transmitted by you. It is not possible for use to allocate these data to a particular person,  nor are any user profiles created. Your IP address is immediately deleted.

Should we wish to use your data for a purpose requiring your approval under the statutory provisions, we will ask for your express approval in all cases. Any approval given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. Should the approval be given electronically within the framework of our Internet offering, we observe the statutory notification and recording obligations.

In accordance with BDSG, your personal data are subject to special protection which we observe through technical and organisational measures. Your personal data are stored on specially protected computers. They are processed and stored only for the purpose for which you have provided us with these data. Our employees are obliged to observe the strictest data protection in accordance with § 5 BDSG.

Passing on of data
Without your prior approval, data are not passed on to third parties for either commercial or non-commercial purposes. We use your personal information from product orders only within DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG and, insofar as this is necessary for the above-mentioned purposes, within affiliated companies.

In the event that DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG, companies in which DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG has a majority shareholding, individual subsidiaries or parts of the company are sold, your customer information will generally be transferred together with the part of the company being transferred. Even in such cases, however, your data naturally remain covered by this data protection declaration and the relevant data protection acts.

Deletion of data
If your data are no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, they will be deleted. If data have to remain stored for tax legislation reasons, these will be barred. These data are then no longer available for any other use.

Amendments to this data protection declaration
DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG reserves the right to amend this data protection declaration, if necessary, in line with future changes in the use of your personal data.

Information, revocation
Your declaration of consent to the recording, use and processing of your personal data can be revoked at any time with effect for the future by sending an e-mail to datasecurity@dieseltechnic.com. Should you have any questions about data protection, please contact the above address also by e-mail. Under this address you can also enquire about your data stored at DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG at any time and have these data changed or deleted.
