Equip Auto took place from 11 – 15 October 2011 at the exhibition centre “Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte“ in France. The international trade exhibition for automotive parts and accessories for all types of vehicles, with more than 1,800 exhibitors from 50 countries, provided an important communication platform for the industry. Almost 100,000 trade visitors, mainly from Europe and Africa, took advantage of Equip Auto to get in contact with manufacturers, dealers and repair workshops and to obtain information about the many new products and the latest trends. The DIESEL TECHNIC GROUP presented the DT brand at Equip Auto on an exhibition stand of over 100 m² in Hall 6. The exhibition team consisted of the distribution team from the distribution company DIESEL TECHNIC FRANCE, together with the staff members responsible for sales and distribution for Africa from the headquarters in Germany. The numerous visitors from the Independent Aftermarket for commercial vehicles were offered interesting highlights on the DIESEL TECHNIC GROUP stand. In particular, the premiere of the updated DT spare parts catalogue suitable for Volvo FH/FM/FMX/NH and the comprehensive product range for Renault trucks, with more than 3,000 spare parts, aroused great interest. The first spare parts catalogue purely for buses, suitable for MAN Bus/Neoplan, as well as the new product line catalogues for air springs and universal parts, were also very much in demand. Besides the many new DT catalogues and selected product highlights, the product information system was an innovation, especially for customers of DIESEL TECHNIC FRANCE, as they can now view the availability of items from the warehouse in Noyal sur Vilaine. Urgent products can also be sent direct to France from the central warehouse in Germany. |
After the successful restructuring, DIESEL TECHNIC FRANCE could introduce themselves with the DT brand to their wholesaler partners in France as a professional and reliable supplier. Yanick Lemarié, General Manager of DIESEL TECHNIC FRANCE and Thomas Fatoux, Sales Manager, were, after the exhibition, very happy with the interest shown and the interesting discussions on the new sales approach. The wholesalers have recognised the advantage of the complete range of more than 22,000 DT brand spare parts and are planning to take advantage of this and to profit from the comprehensive service. Abderrahim Zouheir, from the corporate headquarters in Germany, who is responsible for sales and distribution in Africa, expressed his great satisfaction with the response of visitors from his sales area. Equip Auto in Paris provided an ideal platform to promote the awareness of the DT brand and to demonstrate the dynamic development that is reflected not only in the progress of construction work to expand the corporate headquarters in Germany. As a follow-up to the exhibition, the requested informational documentation and catalogues are now being delivered and concrete ways to develop business relationships are being discussed. |
