As part of the continuous improvement of all processes, DIESEL TECHNIC AG has implemented an environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2009. In addition to the quality management system which has been in operation since 1996 and is certified in accordance with the latest version of DIN EN ISO 9001, the environmental management system makes a contribution to optimising the corporate environmental protection, as well as the environmental performance of DIESEL TECHNIC AG.
The auditors of the “TÜV Nord” checked compliance with normative requirements, the fixed procedures in the management system, as well as compliance with legal requirements. No deviations were found during the audit, and thus the norm compliance and effectiveness of the environmental management system were confirmed for the successful certification.
For integration of the environmental management system, an environmental policy was developed within the company, which was documented in the integrated management manual with a detailed environmental programme and specific environmental objectives. The stated objectives apply to all divisions of the company and are implemented without delay. Planned short-term measures include the reduction of power consumption, reducing waste, reduction of gas consumption and of CO2 emissions.
The environmental policy of DIESEL TECHNIC AG is aimed at all employees and divisions of the company, as well as contractors and the public. The holistic goal is to achieve a continuous improvement of corporate environmental protection as well as environmental performance. Environmental protection as such, the health and safety of employees and social responsibility to the public are just as much part of the corporate objectives as compliance with legal obligations and are the responsibility of the company management. | Based on the conviction that the preservation of a liveable environment is the task not only of the state and society, but of each company and, not least, of each individual, DIESEL TECHNIC AG is constantly striving to examine and evaluate all current and future environmental impacts by suitable measures, to sensitize all persons and parties involved accordingly and to direct their behaviour in the best possible way. By application of the best and economically viable technologies, efforts are being made to avoid environmental pollution wherever possible or to reduce it to a minimum.
Integration of the environmental policy shows that DIESEL TECHNIC AG takes the commitment to protecting the environment very seriously and wants to fulfil ecological requirements beyond the statutory obligations. The commitment to a strict environmental policy boosts the trust of customers in the brand DT and in the company that ecological risks are effectively avoided. It improves the quality of the working environment, the motivation of staff, the maintenance of brand and corporate values and promotes optimal customer service.
In future, the environmental management system – to the same extent as the QM system – will be further developed and continuously improved.
