Most successful year in the company history of the Diesel Technic Group
The year 2011 is drawing to a close – a good time to look back at an eventful year.

In spring, the Diesel Technic Group exhibited at the Automechanika South Africa in Johannesburg and at the Motortec Automechanika Ibérica in Madrid. At both these exhibitions the Diesel Technic Group presented selected DT brand products to the many trade visitors on an enlarged exhibition stand. The presentation at the Automechanika South Africa once more received a gold award and was again among the highlights of the show. In October came the first participation as an exhibitor at the Equip Auto in Paris. At the spring exhibitions, the updated spare parts catalogue suitable for DAF was presented as an exhibition highlight. In May, the first product line catalogue for air springs and accessories for trucks, trailers and buses was published. At the beginning of July, the first DT spare parts catalogue exclusively for MAN Bus/Neoplan buses made its debut. The DT spare parts range now contains more than 11,000 parts for buses and is constantly being expanded. In August, the second DT product line catalogue for universal parts appeared. The extensively updated DT catalogue suitable for Volvo FH/FM/FMX/NH was presented to the trade public as an exhibition highlight at the Equip Auto. The whole of 2011 was marked by the expansion project at the company headquarters in Kirchdorf/Germany. The construction project, with a total investment of more than 10 million euros, progressed on schedule with the completion of several construction phases. In July, a great topping-out ceremony was celebrated. The completion and commissioning of the new logistics facilities, with the narrow-aisle high-bay warehouse and a small-parts warehouse on four floors, as well as the administration building, to which a further two storeys have been added, providing 70 new office workplaces, were important milestones for the largest building project in the history of the company. | Besides the expansion project, important strategic courses have been set for the further positive development of the Diesel Technic Group: All processes have been aligned to a single distribution point via the spare parts wholesale trade. The branch office, Diesel Technic France, has been completely restructured and will, by the end of the year, be adapted to exclusive distribution through the wholesale trade in France. With the successful certification of an environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2009, the Diesel Technic Group commits itself to its social responsibility and to sustainable, resource-conserving development. During the coming year, the Diesel Technic Group will continue to develop dynamically. Many innovations await the distributers and users of DT brand products. In 2012, the Diesel Technic Group and its DT product brand celebrate its 40th anniversary! The presentation of new product lines during the Automechanika in Frankfurt from 11-16 September 2012 will be a further highlight. The Diesel Technic Group goes into 2012 with motivation and hopes and looks forward to continue successful cooperation with all its distribution partners. We wish you all a happy and relaxing Christmas and a good start into the New Year! |
